We are living in uncertain and difficult times, and the coronavirus is affecting all of our lives in many ways. We all have lots of questions about what the future holds and there are few definite answers available at this time.
Here at Premier Polytunnels we have been reviewing the situation on a daily basis and, today, we have made the very difficult decision to close our order book until the UK lockdown has been lifted. We have made this decision for two reasons:
- We are treating the safety and wellbeing of our staff as a priority and, morally, we cannot justify continuing to remain open during the UK lockdown.
- Many of our suppliers have temporarily closed their doors, and so we are currently facing difficulties in obtaining some of the raw materials required to manufacture and dispatch our polytunnels and accessories.
Our telephone lines are temporarily suspended in light of the above, however e-mails will be monitored on a daily basis by skeleton staff. Please bear with us and we will reply to your e-mail just as soon as possible.
We are currently working with skeleton staff to fulfil all existing orders placed before 5pm on Friday 3rd April.
As stated in our previous COVID-19 Statement, as many of our suppliers have temporarily closed their doors, we are currently facing difficulties in obtaining some of the raw materials required to manufacture and dispatch our polytunnels and accessories, therefore we will update customers as soon as possible if we find ourselves out of stock of some components. Please bear with us and we will get to your order as soon as possible.
We are currently working through hundreds of orders received over the two weeks and we are striving to dispatch existing orders in the current dispatch times*:
Garden Polytunnels, Cloches and Fruit Cages – Dispatch lead time of 15-20 working days.
Commercial Polytunnels and Sheep Houses – Dispatch lead time of 20-25 working days.
Polytunnel Covers and Accessories – Dispatch lead time of 7 working days.
*Subject to the availability of the necessary raw materials.
As always, we will contact customers by e-mail to advise them when their order has been dispatched.

In event of some components becoming unavailable during the UK lockdown, customers are entitled to cancel their order for a full refund, if they wish.
New Orders Placed Online
If you choose to place an order on our website after 5pm on Friday 3rd April, please be aware that your order will not go into production until the UK lockdown has been lifted and we are able to return to work in our full capacity. We will contact you to discuss your options, which are:
- To place your order on hold, ready for production and dispatch when the lockdown is lifted and we are able to return to work in our full capacity. Please note, all new orders will be processed in date order.
- To cancel your order, if you wish, for a full refund. When the lockdown is lifted, if you are still in the market for a polytunnel at that time, we will honour the current Spring Sale prices.

Please know, this is not a decision we have made easily. We have continued to work during the lockdown until today, however as employers we have a duty of care to our hardworking and dedicated team, and we must put their health and safety first.
