Our 30ft wide Sheep House is supplied as a complete unit ready for assembly onto a soil base and includes ALL of the following as standard:
Due to the size of this structure, we recommend the foundation tubes are concreted in position.
Premier White Polythene - 720 gauge
A Premier Sheep House uses a 720 gauge/180 micron polythene cover, which is white on the outside to reflect the sun’s heat and on the inside to give a cool, light interior. Light transmission is reduced to 45%, reducing the temperature inside the sheep house while still ensuring that, during daylight hours, the sheep can be seen and inspected clearly by the farmer. This polythene can be expected to last for 8-10 years.
Sheep House Door Frame
The open ends of a Premier Sheep House are supported with a timber door frame measuring from 10ft wide up to 16ft wide x approx 7ft high, allowing access for machinery. (Openings can vary).
Base Plate Kit (for hard standing base)
FOR FIXING POLYTUNNELS TO HARD STANDING.
These are used to replace foundation tubes when fixing a sheep house polytunnel to hard standing, such as concrete or flags. Cage bolts are supplied for fixing and the polytunnel framework simply slots into position.
Base plate kits are also supplied with angle brackets and cage bolts for fixing timber door posts to the ground.
