Officially a Living Hours Employer!

Our Living Hours accreditation builds on our existing commitment as a Living Wage Employer, ensuring that every member of the Premier Polytunnels team is paid at least the real Living Wage.
Introduction
Premier Polytunnels are proud to say that we are an accredited Living Hours Employer. While we had been ‘unofficial’ for a long time, we made the decision to become officially accredited in May 2026 to show our commitment to our employees, ensuring they have the secure working hours they need to thrive.
Living Hours accreditation
Our Living Hours accreditation builds on our existing commitment as a Living Wage Employer, ensuring that every member of the Premier Polytunnels team is paid at least the real Living Wage. Together, these accreditations highlight our dedication to providing fair, secure, and supportive working conditions for our workforce.
Both the Living Wage and Living Hours accreditations are awarded by the Living Wage Foundation – the organisation behind the independent movement of UK businesses that believe in fairer, better work.
As a family-run business, it has always important to us to reward the hard work, dedication and expertise of our team, who are vital to our success. We want our team to feel valued and respected in the workplace and to be confident that they have our support to thrive outside of work with their families too.
By becoming an official Living Hours Employer, we are reinforcing our commitment to promoting a healthy work-life balance through guaranteed hours and predictable shifts. This helps ensure our team can plan their lives with confidence and stability.
Premier Polytunnels is the 73rd organisation in the North West of England to become a recognised Living Hours Employer, the 10th in Lancashire, and the first in Pendle!
Katherine Chapman, director of Living Wage Foundation, said:
We’re delighted that Premier Polytunnels has joined the movement of responsible employers across the UK who voluntarily commit to provide their workers with the secure working hours they need to thrive. They recognise that jobs with decent pay and secure hours are good for workers, good for business and good for society, ensuring work that works for everyone.
