The 16ft wide Sheep House Polytunnel offers dependable livestock shelter and versatile space for smaller flocks or mixed-use farm storage. Built with a strong galvanised steel frame, heavy duty 800 gauge black/white polythene cover, and ventilation netting as standard, it provides excellent protection while maintaining good airflow.

A Sheep House Polytunnel uses a heavy duty, 800 gauge/200 micron polythene cover, which is white on the inside to give a cool, light interior, and black on the outside to be more aesthetically pleasing in a rural environment. This polythene cover has a 5-year warranty against UV degradation and can be expected to last for 10 years and more.

The open ends of this Sheep House Polytunnel are supported with a timber door frame measuring from 10ft wide x approx 7ft high, allowing access for machinery.

FOR FIXING POLYTUNNELS TO A CONCRETE BASE.
These are used to replace foundation tubes when fixing a polytunnel to hard standing, such as concrete or flags. Loose bolts are supplied for fixing and the polytunnel framework simply slots into position.
Base plate kits are also supplied with angle brackets and loose bolts for fixing timber door posts to the ground.
If purchasing base plates, base rails MUST always be used.

Hoops & Foundations
The polytunnel hoops and foundation tubes are manufactured with 50mm diameter Z35 high tensile galvanised steel.
The foundation tubes are secured into the ground with anchor plates, preventing the framework from lifting or sinking in extreme weather conditions.
Triple Ridge
Three ridges - manufactured with 38mm diameter Z35 high tensile galvanised steel - run down the length of the roof, attached to the underside of the hoops.
One ridge is set in the centre, with the others positioned either side of the curved roof, adding essential longitudinal strength to this large structure.
Corner Stabilisers
Diagonal corner stabilisers are supplied at each corner and are manufactured from 38mm diameter Z35 high tensile galvanised steel.
Timber Door Frames
Supplied as standard with a timber door/end frame at each end, with an opening of 10ft wide x approx 7ft high.
A lintel stabiliser, manufactured from 38mm diameter Z35 high tensile galvanised steel, is also supplied at each end - This angles down from the ridge to the centre of the timber door frame lintel.
Timber Base Rails, Side Rails & Ventilation Netting
Each side of the sheep house is supplied with timber base rails at ground level and timber side rails positioned at approx 1m high. Between these rails, ventilation netting is fitted to allow natural ventilation and continuous airflow, while also providing a 50% reduction in wind.
Anti Hot Spot Tape
Anti Hot Spot Tape is a self-adhesive foam tape that is placed on the steel hoops, helping to prolong the life of the polythene cover by preventing cover degradation from friction and the built up heat on the frame.
Black/White Polythene Cover
Supplied as standard is a heavy duty, 800 gauge/200 micron Black/White polythene cover with a 5-year warranty against UV degradation.
