A timber base rail simply clamps around the base of the polytunnel framework, therefore doing away with the need for digging a trench and allowing the polythene cover to be simply fixed to this rail. Base rails are adjustable to allow for cover tensioning.
Anchor plates or Base plates are a MUST when using this method of fixing to prevent the polytunnel framework from lifting.
Timber base rails are pressure treated with a wood preserver to protect against rot and the cover is fixed simply by using timber battens and nails.
Supplied as standard with 27ft and 30ft wide commercial polytunnels.
