COVID-19 STATEMENT - TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF SOME SERVICES

We are living in uncertain and difficult times, and the coronavirus is affecting all of our lives in many ways. We all have lots of questions about what the future holds and there are few definite answers available at this time.

Here at Premier Polytunnels we are treating the safety and wellbeing of our staff, our suppliers and our customers as a priority - We are following the guidance available to us, monitoring the situation on a daily basis, and updating our practises accordingly.

Therefore, we have had to make the very difficult decision to temporarily suspend our phone lines. If you need to contact us urgently, please do not hesitate to e-mail us at info@premierpolytunnels.co.uk

Members of our sales team are currently continuing to operate via e-mail from 8:30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, in order to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

Orders placed on or after Wednesday 25th March

Due to a recent surge in orders on a unprecedented level, any orders placed on our website from Wednesday the 25th March will be placed on hold until further notice – This is due to the lockdown in the UK and the difficulties we are currently facing in obtaining enough raw materials to fulfil all orders at this time.

We will keep you updated as soon as possible and as regularly as possible regarding the delivery of your order.

If you place an order and later decide you wish to cancel your order due to uncertain delivery estimates, please do not hesitate to contact the sales team and we will issue a full refund accordingly.

Orders placed before Wednesday 25th March

Our production team are currently continuing to operate in the factory, working hard and putting in all the hours possible to fulfil orders as efficiently and as quickly as possible.

We are currently facing difficulties in obtaining some of the raw materials required to manufacture and dispatch our polytunnels and accessories, therefore we will update customers regarding their orders where and when necessary. Please bear with us and we will get to your order as soon as possible.

We are currently working through hundreds of orders received over the last week and we are striving to dispatch orders in the current dispatch times:

Garden Polytunnels, Cloches and Fruit Cages – Dispatch lead time of 7-10 working days.

Commercial Polytunnels and Sheep Houses – Dispatch lead time of 10-15 working days.

Polytunnel Covers and Accessories – Dispatch lead time of 5 working days.

We are reviewing our dispatch lead times on a daily basis, therefore please do not hesitate to contact the sales team by e-mail if you have any questions or concerns about the delivery of your order.

How will my order be delivered?

Garden Polytunnels, Cloches and Fruit Cages are usually delivered in disassembled bundles and boxes via a national freight courier.

Commercial Polytunnels and Sheep Houses will be delivered by a courier on 1-2 pallets measuring up to 3.6m long.

Polytunnel Covers and Accessories are usually delivered in boxes by a national parcel courier.

Please Note: Deliveries are made by couriers and we recommend that customers are at the delivery address on the day of delivery.

The couriers have implemented their own precautions to reduce the spread of the coronavirus and, in some cases, have advised that guaranteed services, such as a timed morning service, may not be always possible.

Will Premier Polytunnels remain open?

For the time being, and other than the temporary suspension of our phone lines and the necessary ‘hold’ placed on new orders, it is business as usual at Premier Polytunnels – with lots of extra precautions to keep ourselves and our families, our customers and our suppliers safe and healthy.

No-one knows what the future holds and there are some instances whereby we may have to close the doors to our factory temporarily (how long for could be anyone’s guess at this moment in time):

  1. If under strict instructions by the government to close.
  2. If we become short-staffed due to illness or necessary self-isolation.
  3. If the couriers which deliver our goods are unable to do so.
  4. If the reduced level of service from our suppliers and difficulties in obtain the necessary raw materials required to manufacture polytunnels forces our hand.
